In this last section of the chapter, engage in a whole-class discussion and reflect on the long-lasting environmental justice issue in the Cancer Alley. Consider the following questions to engage in the discussion:

Explore the location of chemical factories, hazardous waste facilities, and oil refineries in their local regions (neighborhood, towns, cities, state). Calculate the distance of those facilities from the nearest schools and residential areas (Google map or field trip), and investigate if those facilities have had any health impact on local residents.
