We as consumers have an immense amount of power. We have the ability to inspire innovation, to help our communities prosper, and to even spark increased environmental and social awareness. Unfortunately, many of us are unaware of just how much power we have, and so we continue to purchase from to big businesses which have an even bigger impact on our earth. For many of us, myself included, impulse-buying can become a habit, particularly when it comes to the closeWindow()t.
The Fast Fashion industry – which rapidly produces cheap clothing (and accessories) in order to keep up with the demand for on-trend items – is one of the planet’s biggest offenders when it comes to environmental impact. Though, its impacts extend even further, from social injustice to illnesses, the Fashion industry has been hiding an ugly side and as a result, millions of us have been lured into buying cute clothes for enticingly cheap prices.
This is why I created conscious., to encourage us all to slow down Fast Fashion for good. I believe as consumers we can solve this issue, together. We all have the ability to do some good, no matter how small the act. So, if you’re ready to find out what you can do to take action, click the link below.
