Social Change: USA is a poster series representing the oppressed individuals of the United States. There are two posters representing African Americans and women. For each poster there are different stories of how individuals of that certain demographic has been oppressed over the years, these stories are in the quotes. Next to the stories there are words that I want viewers to focus on. These words are uplifting and encouraging. They are next to the stories to imply that those stories will not hold us back from becoming who we desire to be. Almost as if those stories are the thing of the past, this is who we are now. Hence the phrase “Become The New Era”.
