Project Name: Perception
Perception is defined as the organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information in order to represent and understand the presented information or environment.
The collages below are a culmination of individual interpretations of abstract words stitched together in one image, each pertaining to the word given. The panels have been arranged to mimic the process of Lenticular Printing giving the words and images an obscure illusion of depth that allows the viewer to observe the literal and abstract based on the their perspective in relation to the panels. To understand how the individual’s perception differs from one another, participants were presented with an abstract word and asked to determine what other words, colors, emotions, or tangible objects it could be embodied by based on their own experience and interpretation of the word.
